EMELAGH

Boundaries flatten your stretching

Welcoming arms to take me home

Upon fresh green blankets tucked into walled stone

Pockets of life spring in vicinities close by

Fielding this vast alone,

Plant your seed for it grows and spreads upon the diaspora winds

Waiting patiently upon your children’s return, connected to your motherland

We are one and the sown

Delicate flowers reach strong and tall enriched by your soft delicate toil.

Endless love awaits for a maternity where

Blue skies marry the sea in perfect harmony.

She calls you

singing her songs

let the folk hear.

Invitations of love

Where nature dominates the speckled stars lighting heavens ceiling above

She sleeps here peacefully upon silent prayer.

I discard all my troubles and woes there.

May the road rise up to meet you.

May the wind be always at your back.

May the sun shine warm upon your face;

the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again,my

 Emelagh.
